Diaz Point, located just outside Lüderitz, Namibia, is a historical landmark and a scenic coastal attraction. The original padrão was lost to the sea, but a replica stands today as a reminder of this significant historical event. The site marks one of the earliest European contacts with the Namibian coast. Visitors to Diaz Point can explore the rugged coastline, admire the dramatic rock formations, and visit the replica of the Dias padrão. The point is also home to a lighthouse, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding area. Birdwatching is a popular activity, with various seabirds nesting on the cliffs. Transportation
Diaz Point is easily accessible by car from Lüderitz. Follow the B259 road out of town, and it will lead directly to Diaz Point. There is no public transportation directly to Diaz Point, but taxis are available in Lüderitz.
