Transportation
The Kwando River is accessible from various lodges and campsites located along its banks. Many of these establishments offer transportation from Katima Mulilo. Alternatively, you can rent a 4x4 vehicle and drive to the river. The roads can be sandy and challenging, so a 4x4 is recommended. From Katima Mulilo, take the B8 highway west. Turn onto the D3502 road towards Mudumu National Park. Several lodges and access points to the Kwando River are located along this road.
