Transportation
The Kairaouine Mosque is located in the heart of the Fes el Bali (old city), a pedestrian zone. The best way to reach it is on foot, immersing yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the medina. From Bab Bou Jeloud (Blue Gate), follow the Talaa Kebira, the main thoroughfare, deeper into the medina. Ask locals for directions; they are generally helpful. Petit taxis can drop you off at the edge of the medina near Bab Bou Jeloud, from where you can walk.
