Pavlova Strana Viewpoint Guide
Montenegro's Postcard Perfect Vista: Pavlova Strana Viewpoint Guide
Prepare to be mesmerized by one of Montenegro's most iconic views: the Pavlova Strana Viewpoint. Perched high above the winding Crnojevića River, this vantage point offers a breathtaking panorama that has graced countless postcards and travel brochures. The river snakes its way through the lush green landscape, creating a horseshoe bend that is simply unforgettable. Whether you're a seasoned photographer or simply seeking a moment of awe-inspiring beauty, Pavlova Strana is a must-see destination. While the viewpoint itself is a natural wonder, the surrounding area is rich in history. Rijeka Crnojevića, the charming village below, was once the capital of Montenegro during the reign of the Crnojević dynasty in the 15th century. The village played a significant role in the development of Montenegrin culture and printing, as it was home to the first printing press in the Balkans. Although the capital later moved, Rijeka Crnojevića retains its historical charm and offers a glimpse into Montenegro's past. The primary activity at Pavlova Strana is, of course, soaking in the incredible view and capturing stunning photographs. However, you can also combine your visit with a trip to Rijeka Crnojevića. Explore the village's historic architecture, enjoy a leisurely boat ride on the Crnojevića River, or indulge in a delicious meal at one of the local restaurants. The area is known for its fresh fish and traditional Montenegrin cuisine. Be sure to try *krap*, a local carp dish, or *priganice*, small fried dough balls often served with honey or cheese.
