This archaeological site offers a glimpse into the rich history of the region, showcasing the remnants of a once-thriving urban center. Wander through the crumbling walls and imagine life in this important settlement, which played a significant role in the Roman and later Byzantine empires. Duklja's history stretches back to the Roman era, when it was known as Doclea. It served as the capital of the Roman province of Praevalitana. After the fall of the Roman Empire, the city continued to flourish under Byzantine rule.
