Transportation
The most common way to reach San José del Pacifico is by bus from Oaxaca City or Pochutla (near Puerto Escondido). From Oaxaca City, buses depart regularly from the second-class bus terminal (Terminal de Autobuses de Segunda Clase). The journey takes approximately 3-4 hours. From Pochutla, buses also depart regularly, with a journey time of around 2-3 hours. Be prepared for winding mountain roads!
