Transportation
Reaching the Ría Lagartos Biosphere Reserve is best done by car. Drive north on Highway 295 from Valladolid for about 2-3 hours. Alternatively, take a bus from Valladolid to Tizimín, then another bus from Tizimín to Río Lagartos. From Río Lagartos, you can access the reserve by boat or guided tour.
