Transportation

To reach Holbox Island, you must first travel to the town of Chiquilá. From Cancun or Playa del Carmen, you can take an ADO bus to Chiquilá. The journey takes approximately 2-3 hours. From Chiquilá, you'll need to take a ferry to Holbox Island. Ferries depart regularly throughout the day and the crossing takes about 20 minutes.
