Transportation
The most convenient way to reach Dzibanche is by car. From Chetumal, take Highway 186 west towards Escárcega. The turnoff to Dzibanche is well-marked and located a few kilometers east of the Rio Bec turnoff. The road to the site is partially paved but can be rough in places, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended. Alternatively, you can hire a taxi or arrange for transportation with a tour operator from Chetumal or Xpujil.
