The Azure Window, formerly a magnificent natural arch on the coast of Gozo, Malta, collapsed into the sea during a storm in March 2017. While the iconic arch is no more, the site remains a popular destination for divers, snorkelers, and those who wish to witness the dramatic underwater landscape that has been created. It became a symbol of Malta and a popular filming location, featuring in movies and television shows such as "Clash of the Titans" and "Game of Thrones." Its collapse was a significant loss, but it has created a new underwater environment that is attracting marine life and divers from around the world. Today, visitors can explore the area around the former Azure Window, now known as the Azure Window Ruins. Diving and snorkeling are the main activities, allowing you to explore the fallen rocks and the marine life that has made it their home. Boat trips are also available, offering a different perspective of the underwater landscape. Bus 311 from Victoria (Rabat) stops near Dwejra. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the Dwejra area where the Azure Window Ruins are located.
