The atoll's formation dates back millions of years, shaped by volcanic activity and coral growth. Over time, these natural processes have created a complex ecosystem teeming with life. The dive center itself has been operating for several years, building a reputation for safety, professionalism, and a commitment to marine conservation. Maafushi Dive Center offers a variety of activities, including introductory dives for beginners, certified diving courses (PADI), and guided dive trips to various dive sites around the atoll. Popular dive sites include Guraidhoo Corner (known for its strong currents and shark encounters), Kandooma Thila (a vibrant reef teeming with fish), and Cocoa Thila (a cleaning station for manta rays). Snorkeling trips are also available for those who prefer to stay closer to the surface. After a dive, enjoy fresh seafood at one of the local restaurants, savoring the flavors of the Maldives.
