Ramena Beach Guide
Sun, Sand, and Serenity: Relax on Ramena Beach Guide
Ramena Beach is a picturesque coastal village and beach located just north of Diego Suarez. Known for its pristine white sand, turquoise waters, and stunning views of the Sugarloaf Mountain (Pain de Sucre), Ramena is a popular destination for relaxation, swimming, and water sports. It's the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and soak up the sun. Ramena has a long history as a fishing village, and you can still see traditional pirogues (wooden canoes) lining the shore. The village has retained its authentic charm, offering a glimpse into the local way of life. The beach is also a popular spot for locals, especially on weekends. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities at Ramena Beach, including swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling, windsurfing, and kitesurfing. Boat trips to the nearby Emerald Sea (Mer d'Emeraude) are also popular. The village offers a range of restaurants and cafes serving fresh seafood and Malagasy cuisine. Don't miss the opportunity to try the local grilled fish or seafood platters.
