Transportation
Ambohimanga is best reached by taxi or chartered vehicle from Antananarivo. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic. Negotiate the price beforehand. Alternatively, you can take a taxi-brousse (bush taxi) from Antananarivo to a nearby town and then hire a local taxi to reach Ambohimanga. Once in Ambohimanga, the traditional houses are easily accessible on foot.
