Prepare to be amazed by the abundance of wildlife and the breathtaking beauty of this iconic African wilderness. The Mara Triangle holds a significant place in the history of conservation in the Maasai Mara. The Mara Conservancy was established to combat poaching and improve infrastructure within the area. Their efforts have resulted in a thriving ecosystem and a more sustainable tourism model. The Triangle is also the first point of entry for the Great Migration from the Serengeti, making it a prime location for witnessing this natural spectacle. Embark on thrilling game drives, witnessing the Big Five and countless other species in their natural habitat. Visit the Oloololo Gate, the main entrance to the Mara Triangle, and learn about the conservation efforts underway. The Mara River, which flows through the Triangle, is a focal point for wildlife activity, offering excellent opportunities for photography and observation.

Transportation

To reach the Mara Triangle, you can fly into the Serena Airstrip, which is located within the Triangle itself. Alternatively, you can fly into another airstrip in the Maasai Mara and then transfer by road in a 4x4 vehicle. The Oloololo Gate is the main entry point for those arriving by road. Road conditions can be challenging, especially during the rainy season, so a 4x4 is highly recommended.
