Okayama Castle, also known as "Crow Castle" due to its distinctive black exterior, is a prominent landmark in Okayama City. The current castle is a reconstruction, completed in 1966, and houses a museum showcasing the history of the castle and the Okayama region. Inside the castle, you'll find exhibits displaying historical artifacts, armor, and weaponry. The castle grounds also feature beautiful gardens, including the Korakuen Garden, one of Japan's three most celebrated gardens, located just across the Asahi River. Transportation
From Okayama Station, take the tram bound for Higashiyama and get off at Shiroshita Station (about 10 minutes). From Shiroshita Station, it's about a 5-minute walk to Okayama Castle. Alternatively, you can take a bus from Okayama Station to Okayama Castle (about 10 minutes).
