Kasamatsu Park Guide
A Classic Viewpoint: Discover Amanohashidate from Kasamatsu Park Guide
Kasamatsu Park is another prime viewing spot for Amanohashidate, offering a different perspective from Amanohashidate View Land. Located on the opposite side of the sandbar, Kasamatsu Park is accessible by cable car or chairlift and provides stunning panoramic views of the entire landscape. It's a more tranquil and natural setting compared to the amusement park atmosphere of View Land. Kasamatsu Park has been a popular viewing spot for Amanohashidate for centuries. Its location on Mount Nariai offers a unique vantage point, allowing visitors to appreciate the sandbar's graceful curve and the surrounding mountains and sea. Like Amanohashidate View Land, performing the "matanozoki" (viewing upside down through your legs) is a must-do activity at Kasamatsu Park. The main activity at Kasamatsu Park is, of course, enjoying the breathtaking views of Amanohashidate. You can take the cable car or chairlift up the mountain, explore the park's walking trails, and find the perfect spot to capture stunning photos. There are also a few small shops and restaurants in the park, offering light meals and souvenirs. While not known for a specific culinary tradition within the park itself, the nearby town of Miyazu offers a variety of local delicacies, including fresh seafood and sake.
