Transportation
The most convenient way to reach Hoto Shrine is by car. It's located a short drive from Karatsu City. If using public transportation, take the JR Karatsu Line to Karatsu Station. From Karatsu Station, take the Showa Bus bound for Yobuko (呼子). Get off at the 'Hoto Iriguchi' (宝当入口) bus stop. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the shrine.
