Transportation
The most common way to reach the Fuji Five Lakes is by bus from Tokyo. Direct highway buses depart from Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal (Busta Shinjuku) and Tokyo Station to Kawaguchiko Station. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours. From Kawaguchiko Station, you can take local buses to reach the other lakes and attractions. The Fujikyu Railway also connects Otsuki Station (on the JR Chuo Line) to Kawaguchiko Station. Once in the area, consider purchasing a local bus pass for convenient travel between the lakes.
