Zerubu no Oka Guide
Zerubu no Oka: A Kaleidoscope of Colors Guide
Zerubu no Oka, also known as the "Hill of Zerubu," is a stunning flower garden located in the scenic town of Biei, Hokkaido. This vibrant landscape is a feast for the eyes, showcasing a kaleidoscope of colors with its meticulously arranged flower beds. From spring to autumn, the hills come alive with blooming lavender, sunflowers, poppies, and many other varieties, creating a breathtaking panorama that attracts visitors from around the world. It's a perfect destination for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone seeking a peaceful escape. While Zerubu no Oka doesn't have a long historical narrative like some other sites, its creation is a testament to the dedication and artistry of its creators. The garden is carefully maintained to ensure a continuous display of vibrant colors throughout the seasons. The name "Zerubu" is derived from the first letters of the names of the flowers that were originally planted there: Zinnia, Eustoma, Rudbeckia, Baby's-breath. Visitors can stroll through the flower fields, take stunning photographs, and enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. There are also opportunities for activities such as buggy rides and go-karting. The on-site restaurant offers a variety of dishes made with local ingredients, including lavender-flavored ice cream, a unique culinary treat that reflects the region's floral beauty.
