Transportation
Castello Maniace is located at the very tip of Ortigia Island and is easily accessible on foot from anywhere in Ortigia. From mainland Syracuse, cross one of the bridges onto Ortigia and follow the signs towards the castle. Several local bus lines serve Ortigia, including lines 1, 2, and 4, but walking is the most enjoyable way to reach the castle.
