Transportation
The Circumvesuviana train is the most convenient way to reach Pompeii from Naples or Sorrento. Take the train towards Sorrento and get off at the 'Pompei Scavi - Villa dei Misteri' station, which is located right outside the entrance to the archaeological site. The journey from Naples takes approximately 40 minutes. Alternatively, you can take a SITA bus from Naples or other nearby towns. Many tour operators also offer day trips to Pompeii, which include transportation.
