Marina Grande Guide
Welcome to Capri: Start Your Adventure at Marina Grande Guide
Marina Grande is the main port of Capri, serving as the gateway to this enchanting island. It's a bustling hub of activity, filled with ferries, yachts, shops, restaurants, and the vibrant energy of arriving and departing visitors. Whether you're arriving for a day trip or a longer stay, Marina Grande is the perfect place to begin your Capri adventure. While Marina Grande doesn't have a long, storied history like some of Capri's other landmarks, its importance as the island's primary port has been consistent for centuries. It has evolved from a simple fishing harbor to a modern port capable of handling large ferries and luxury yachts. The area has been continuously developed to accommodate the increasing number of tourists visiting Capri each year. At Marina Grande, you can enjoy a variety of activities. Take a stroll along the harbor, admiring the colorful boats and the stunning views of the island. Browse the shops selling souvenirs, local crafts, and designer goods. Indulge in a delicious meal at one of the many restaurants, savoring fresh seafood and traditional Caprese cuisine. You can also book boat tours to explore the island's coastline, including the famous Blue Grotto and Faraglioni rocks. Don't miss the opportunity to try local specialties like ravioli capresi (ravioli filled with caciotta cheese and marjoram) or a refreshing limoncello.
