Transportation
The Deserted Village is best accessed by car. From Achill Sound, follow the R319 towards Dugort. Continue through Dugort village, and you'll find a car park near the base of Slievemore mountain, from which the village is a short walk. Alternatively, Bus Eireann route 440 from Westport to Achill stops in Dugort. From the bus stop, it's approximately a 20-30 minute walk to the village.
