Transportation
Reaching Spangmik requires a permit to enter the restricted area around Pangong Tso. The most common route is from Leh, the capital of Ladakh. You can hire a taxi or jeep from Leh for a round trip. The journey takes approximately 5-6 hours and involves crossing the Chang La pass, one of the highest motorable passes in the world. Shared taxis are also available, but they may be less comfortable. There are no direct bus services to Spangmik.
