Guru Nanak Dev Ji then lifted a stone, revealing a hot spring. When Mardana threw the food into the spring, it sank. Guru Nanak Dev Ji then instructed him to pray, and the food miraculously floated back up, fully cooked. Since then, the hot springs have been considered sacred. Visitors to Manikaran Sahib can participate in the daily prayers and kirtans (devotional songs). Transportation
The nearest airport is Bhuntar Airport (KUU), approximately 35 kilometers from Manikaran. From the airport, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to Manikaran. The most common way to reach Manikaran is by road. Regular buses operate from Kullu and Bhuntar to Manikaran. Taxis are also readily available. The road journey offers stunning views of the Parvati Valley.
