Transportation
The primary way to reach Nubra Valley is by road from Leh. You'll need to obtain an Inner Line Permit (ILP) to enter the region. Shared taxis and private vehicles are available from Leh. The journey involves crossing the Khardung La pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Buses also operate on this route, but they are less frequent and can be less comfortable. Consider hiring a local driver familiar with the terrain for a safer and more enjoyable experience.
