Transportation
Hemis Monastery is located approximately 45 kilometers southeast of Leh. You can hire a taxi or take a local bus from Leh to reach the monastery. Buses are less frequent, so check the schedule in advance. Shared taxis are also available and can be a more economical option for solo travelers or small groups.
