Miraculously, the brothers were cured of their disabilities. The villagers, upon witnessing this miracle, tried to dig further but were unable to reach the base of the idol. They then established a temple around the self-manifested (Swayambhu) idol of Lord Vinayaka. The temple's history is further enriched by the contributions of the Vijayanagara rulers, who patronized the temple and helped in its development. Visitors to Sri Varasiddhi Vinayaka Temple can participate in various rituals and sevas (services). The most popular is the Abhishekam, a ritual bathing of the idol with sacred substances. Devotees also offer prayers, perform circumambulation (Pradakshina), and seek blessings from Lord Vinayaka. Regular buses operate from Tirupati, Chittoor, and other nearby towns to Kanipakam Bus Station.
