Transportation
The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, about 226 km from Chopta. From Dehradun, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to Chopta. Alternatively, you can take a train to Rishikesh, which is about 200 km from Chopta, and then hire a taxi or take a bus. Buses from Rishikesh to Ukhimath are available, from where you can hire a jeep to Chopta. The road to Chopta is generally accessible, but it can be affected by landslides during the monsoon season.
