Transportation
The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, approximately 190 km away. From Dehradun, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to Rudraprayag. From Rudraprayag, take a local bus or shared taxi to Augustmuni. From Augustmuni, hire a taxi or jeep to Kanakchauri, the starting point of the trek to Kartik Swami Temple. Buses from Rudraprayag to Kanakchauri are also available, but less frequent.
