The temple is believed to have been established by the Ahobila Mutt, a prominent Vaishnava monastic order, centuries ago. The name "Malola" is derived from "Ma," meaning Lakshmi, and "Lola," meaning beloved, signifying that Lord Narasimha resides here with his consort, Goddess Lakshmi. A visit to the Malola Narasimha Temple is a truly enriching experience. Devotees can participate in the daily rituals and prayers, seeking blessings from Lord Narasimha and Goddess Lakshmi.
