Transportation
Reaching Agastyamuni, the starting point, is best done by road. The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun (DED), about 196 km away. From the airport, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to Rudraprayag, and then another local bus or taxi to Agastyamuni. Alternatively, you can take a train to Rishikesh Railway Station (RKSH), which is well-connected to major Indian cities. From Rishikesh, buses and taxis are readily available to Rudraprayag and Agastyamuni. Once in Agastyamuni, you can find local jeeps or taxis to take you to the actual trek starting point near Chopta (if you're not starting directly from Agastyamuni).
