Transportation
The easiest way to reach Hraunfossar is by car. From Reykjavik, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) north. Turn onto Route 50 towards Reykholt. Continue on Route 50 until you reach Route 518, which leads directly to Hraunfossar. Parking is available at the site. Public transportation options are limited, but some guided tours include Hraunfossar in their itinerary.
