Transportation
Fjallakirkja Church is located in Möðrudalur, Iceland. The transportation is the same as the Hiking Trails around Möðrudalur. Reaching Möðrudalur requires a bit of planning. The most common way is by car, preferably a 4x4 vehicle, as some of the roads leading to the farm are gravel and can be challenging, especially during inclement weather. From Egilsstaðir, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) west, then turn onto Route 901 north. Follow Route 901 until you reach Möðrudalur. Be aware that Route 901 is a gravel road for a significant portion of the journey. Public transportation is limited in this area, so renting a car is highly recommended.
