Transportation
Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon is located near Kirkjubæjarklaustur, easily accessible by car. From Route 1 (the Ring Road), turn onto Road 206 and follow the signs to the canyon. The road to the parking area is gravel and can be a bit rough, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended, especially during winter. From the parking area, it's a short walk to the canyon rim.
