Transportation
To reach the trailhead for Reykjadalur, drive east from Reykjavik on Route 1 (the Ring Road) to Hveragerði. Once in Hveragerði, follow the signs for Reykjadalur. There is a parking area at the trailhead. Strætó bus route 51 stops in Hveragerði. From the bus stop, it's about a 30-minute walk to the trailhead.
