Transportation
To reach the trailhead for Stórurð, drive from Borgarfjörður Eystri towards Vatnsskarð pass. The road is gravel and can be rough in places, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended, especially during wet conditions. Look for a marked parking area near the beginning of the hiking trail.
