Transportation
The easiest way to reach Thingvellir National Park is by car. It's located about 45 minutes northeast of Reykjavik along Route 1 (the Ring Road) and then Route 36. Numerous tour operators offer Golden Circle tours that include Thingvellir, Geysir, and Gullfoss waterfall. These tours typically depart from Reykjavik.
