Transportation

From Reykjavik, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) north towards Akranes. Before reaching Borgarnes, take Route 51 towards Akranes. Follow Route 51 into Akranes. Langisandur Beach is well-signposted within the town. Several local buses serve Akranes, but schedules may be limited. Check the Straeto website for bus routes and timetables.
