Transportation
The most convenient way to reach Roupel Fortress is by car from Sidirokastro. Follow the signs towards Promachonas and the Greek-Bulgarian border. The fortress is located a few kilometers north of Sidirokastro, along the main road. There are also local buses that run from Sidirokastro to Promachonas, and you can ask the driver to drop you off near the fortress entrance. From there, it's a short walk uphill to the fortress.
