Transportation
Reaching Dikteon Cave requires a bit of planning. The most common way is by car. Drive to the village of Psychro on the Lasithi Plateau. From Psychro, it's a steep uphill walk (approximately 15-20 minutes) to the cave entrance. Alternatively, you can hire a donkey from Psychro to take you up to the cave. Bus: * From Heraklion, take the bus to Agios Nikolaos. From Agios Nikolaos, take the bus to the Lasithi Plateau. Get off at the village of Psychro.
