The Gortyn Law Code is located within the archaeological site of Gortys, near Mitropolis. The easiest way to reach the site is by car. From Heraklion, take the E75 highway south towards Moires. Exit at Agioi Deka and follow signs to Gortys/Mitropolis. Local buses also run from Heraklion to Agioi Deka, from where you can walk or take a taxi to the site.
