Transportation
The easiest way to reach Achalm is by bus from Reutlingen. Take bus number 8 towards 'Georgenberg' and get off at the 'Achalm' stop. From there, it's a relatively short but uphill walk to the castle ruins. Alternatively, you can drive and park at the designated parking area near the base of the hill, then hike up to the castle.
