Transportation
Ferchensee is accessible by car, bus, or a scenic hike. By car, follow signs from Mittenwald towards Elmau and then to Ferchensee. Parking is available near the lake (parking fees apply). Bus line 9606 from Mittenwald to Elmau stops near the trailhead to Ferchensee. Get off at the 'Elmau Schloss' stop and hike approximately 45 minutes to the lake. Alternatively, you can hike from Mittenwald, which takes approximately 2-3 hours.
