Panometer Leipzig Guide
Immerse Yourself: A 360° Journey Through History and Nature Guide
The Panometer Leipzig offers a unique and immersive experience, showcasing monumental 360° panoramic images created by artist Yadegar Asisi. These breathtaking artworks transport visitors to different times and places, allowing them to step into historical events or natural environments. It's a truly unforgettable way to experience art and history. The Panometer is housed in a former gas storage facility, which provides the perfect cylindrical space for the panoramic images. Yadegar Asisi, a German-Iranian artist, developed the concept of the Panometer and has created several different panoramas for the Leipzig location. These panoramas are meticulously researched and designed to create a realistic and engaging experience for viewers. Visitors enter the Panometer and are immediately surrounded by the massive panoramic image. Sound effects and lighting enhance the immersive experience, making it feel as though you are actually present in the scene. Past panoramas have included depictions of the Amazon rainforest, the Titanic, and the Battle of Leipzig. The Panometer also features accompanying exhibitions that provide historical context and background information about the panorama.
