Feldberg Tower Guide
Reach for the Sky: Panoramic Views from Feldberg Tower Guide
Prepare to be amazed by the Feldberg Tower, an iconic landmark perched atop the highest peak in the Black Forest! This isn't just a tower; it's a portal to breathtaking 360-degree views that stretch across the rolling hills of Germany, into France, and even as far as the Swiss Alps on a clear day. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or simply seeking a memorable experience, the Feldberg Tower promises an unforgettable panorama. The original tower, a wooden structure, was built in 1887. Over the years, it was replaced by a more robust stone tower and eventually, the modern steel and concrete structure you see today. This latest iteration, completed in 2003, houses not only observation decks but also a radio transmission facility. The tower stands as a testament to both human ingenuity and the enduring allure of the Feldberg mountain. Ascend to the observation decks for unparalleled views. On a clear day, the vista is simply stunning. Inside the tower, you'll find exhibits detailing the history of the Feldberg and the surrounding region. For the adventurous, consider paragliding from the Feldberg – the views from above are even more spectacular! Don't forget to grab a souvenir or a bite to eat at the restaurant located within the tower complex.
