Transportation

Reaching Lake Arkhoti is challenging and requires a 4x4 vehicle due to the rough road conditions. From Tbilisi, take the Georgian Military Highway (E117) towards Stepantsminda. Turn off towards Shatili and continue towards Barisakho. From Barisakho, the road to Arkhoti is unpaved and requires a high-clearance vehicle. Alternatively, you can hire a local driver with a 4x4 in Barisakho. Public transportation is extremely limited in this region.
