Le Potager des Princes Guide

A Royal Garden Reimagined: Discover the Charm of Le Potager des Princes Guide

Le Potager des Princes, or the Prince's Kitchen Garden, is a delightful and enchanting garden located near the Château de Chantilly. This charming space offers a unique blend of history, horticulture, and entertainment, making it a perfect destination for families and garden enthusiasts alike. Explore the beautifully designed gardens, meet the resident animals, and enjoy a whimsical escape from the everyday. Originally created in the 17th century for the Grand Condé, the Potager des Princes served as a kitchen garden to supply the Château de Chantilly with fresh produce. Over the centuries, it fell into disrepair but was lovingly restored in the early 2000s by Yves Bienaimé. Today, it is a vibrant and engaging space that celebrates the history and beauty of the garden. Visitors to Le Potager des Princes can wander through the themed gardens, including a vegetable garden, a rose garden, and a Japanese garden. Children will delight in the animal park, which is home to rabbits, chickens, goats, and other friendly creatures. Puppet shows and other performances are regularly held, adding to the garden's whimsical atmosphere. The garden also hosts workshops and events throughout the year, offering opportunities to learn about gardening and connect with nature.
