Transportation
To reach Lac de Gaube, travel to Cauterets. From Cauterets, you have two options: you can take the chairlift (Télésiège de Gaube) followed by a short walk, or you can hike the entire way. The chairlift is the quicker option, taking you most of the way to the lake. The hike is more challenging but offers stunning views along the way. The trail starts near the Pont d'Espagne. During peak season, the chairlift can get crowded, so arrive early.
