The drive takes approximately 1 hour. Public transportation to Hossa is limited. You can take a bus from Suomussalmi to Hossa, but you'll need to arrange onward transportation to Julma-Ölkky, which may involve a taxi or a long walk. Consider renting a car for maximum flexibility.
